Another "The Truth Hurts" Story by Edie,
The Salsa FREAK.
I was at a nightclub the other day, and
this woman came up to greet me. I recognized her as one of my students. We
were talking about scheduling a lesson, when suddenly she said,
"You know Edie, you're one of the only instructors who's never tried to
hit on me during a private."
I looked at her and responded in
shock. "You're kidding." "Nope. You know, this has really
gotten out of hand. I can name about five instructors in this room right now who
have tried to make a pass at me during a private lesson."

DJ's Mixing Salsa Music from One Song to Another... DON'T DO IT!
Dancers don't like it! Keep Dancers Happy - Leave the Music Alone
You're in the middle of dancing a
KILLER song. The beat is uplifting, and slamming. It's one of your favorite
songs, and you start thanking God for that DJ. You and your partner have hit every
peak of the rhythm perfectly with beautiful moves and turn patterns portraying your
passionate interpretation of the song's story. Both of you know the ending, and
anticipate it's just about to finish. Your partner gets ready for the incredible dip
that will polish off the finale....
Suddenly, the DJ decides to "mix
in" another song, completely skipping the ending. You realize that another song
has just started or "blended in", without the first one finishing. You
both look at each other, disappointed that you weren't able to complete your dance, and

Gutter Dancing - Giving Salsa A Bad Name...
Keeping Salsa Clean
In the middle of the heat of a great song, they're dancing up a storm. They look
incredible out there. His style very chivalrous, her style, very elegant. A
small crowd gathers to watch them dance. Suddenly, he dances in front of her, grabs her by
the hips, kneels down and just inches away from her crotch, starts shaking his face and
tongue back and forth. The crowd is shocked. Their smiles fade, and they look
at each other, hands on their mouths, and start shaking their heads in a negative
way. Some hide their eyes in embarrassment. What was once a great performance,
has now turned into a appalling Gutter Dance.
The crowd forgets how well they
danced...
...they only
remember what he did to her.
