Edie's Daily Report
Curacao island is a paradise.  The people are very warm and very friendly.  The turquoise water and white sandy beach in front of the Sheraton are spectacular!

Jerry and I taught a “Dips and Tricks” class today at the gym of the Sheraton.  The resort is BEAUTIFUL but  it would have been nice if they had air-conditioning where we were teaching!  We were all dripping wet with sweat during, and afterward!  Jerry will be teaching a Men’s Styling and Footwork class tomorrow (Saturday) while I teach the Ladies Styling class.

Today, I decided to work “outside” on a few articles for Salsaweb Magazine.  I took a swim for the first time in the warm water and it was FABULOUS!  What’s nice, is that when you get out, you’re not cold because the air is already so warm and tropical!  Benjamin Rapoport flew in today, and will be setting up a live video coverage of the event.

I decided to take my first dip in the ocean today.  Yes, I know it took a few days for me to finally hit the water, but hey!  I had web-work to do!  Olaf Bleck, his girlfriend Anja, and another friend Cristina joined Ben, Jerry, and I for an underwater Casino Rueda!  It was hilarious!  Instead of cross-body leads, the guys did cross-body LIFTS out of the water.  I swallowed a ton of salt water in the process – but fortunately my eyes didn’t sting at all!  We all dove off the pier, and Jerry and I raced, (swimming freestyle) back to the beach from the pier.  Jerry won, of course, but I wasn’t too far behind!  It’s great to know how to swim over here!  Seems like that’s what everyone is doing… swimming either in the ocean, or at the pool!  The pools are beautiful.  There is one side that spills over into a waterfall.  It looks like it’s spilling over into the ocean!   The warm and bubbly Jacuzzi is right next to it as well.  This is truly a Dancer’s Paradise!

Tonight, we’re off to the Salsa Festival here on the other side of the island.  They told us this is a very casual event, where there will be top name artists and Salsa, Salsa, and more Salsa playing!!  See you tomorrow!

Not only is Milton a fantastic follow, but he's an even BETTER Lead!!

An Electrical Engineer by day, Milton is a Maverick on the dance floor by Night!

The bus was so cold, with the air conditioner, that David Sandoval from Nashville Tennessee was nice enough to take off his T-shirt and PLUG the air vent with it!!

Here's David, T-shirt-less!
