A true class act! That pretty much sums up my review of Willie Chirino’s performance. He is an entertainer full of style and charisma.

He interacted with the audience more than any other performer I’ve ever seen. I had a front row center seat (thanks to Polito Vega of MEGA 97.9FM) and Willie danced with me from the stage during one of his salsa songs. He even engaged in conversation with people in the audience. He is a true charmer.

Highlights of the show included "I Like It Like That" with Tito Nieves (who was in the audience - along with Johnny Pacheco) and an extravagant number in honor of Desi Arnaz ("Lucy, I’m Home").

When he did a song about someday returning to Cuba, he was so full of pride, dignity and remembrance of pre-Castro Cuba, that he brought tears to my eyes and I’m not even Cuban.

It was a great show with a lot of variety: salsa, cha cha, Cuban festival music, beautiful ballads and a lot of honor to Cuba. It was like a trip to the Cuba of yesteryear. Willie Chirino – an elegant class act!
