Dateline -- January 7, 1998...
Due to the untimely death of Fania President, Jarry Masucci, the Latin legends Band '98 CD is now being released by JMM/SONY Discos on February 3rd 1998. The Fania All-Star show in Paris, France is not confirmed as is the show for Midem Conference in Cannes......I will let everyone know as soon as possible the information I receive regarding these trips......The Noche Caliente CD is being finished this week in Puerto Rico's E1212 Studios with vocalists Tito Allen, Darvel Garcia and Lefty Perez for Caiman Records of Miami and according to President Jose Silva will be released Immediately upon completion...Larry Harlow , along with attorney/son Myles Harlow Kahn, are beginning a new project entitled "SOMOS DE BASEBALL" A SALSA MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO THE LATE Roberto Clemente featuring the playing and singing of Hispanic Baseball Major leagers such as Ruben Sierra, Carlos Baerga, Joey Cora, Ivan Rodriguez. Etc etc etc This CD will be released by Rycodisc and will contain arrangements and songs by Harlow, Luis Perico Ortiz, Luis Garcia and Cuto Soto.
