Guagua left for the hospital at 10pm...I went to eat with Fajardo, Alfredo and his guys and Nicky.

Nicky was talking to himself all the way to the restaurant and inside moved to another table because

I told him to cool it. I ate fast as to get back to the hotel to wait for a call from Guagua. It is now 2:30

in the morning and NO call from Pablo or Guagua... I am very worried ...I'll try to stay awake as long

as I can.....Now 4 am, no word from anyone...I'm pissed at Pablo for not calling me with information...

I am not imagining the worst case scenario...I am making a list of basis’s who could possibly fill in

an emergency. Guillermo Edghill, from NY, would be my first choice, then Hector Cruz from

Tampa, Junior Irrizarry from PR or Sal Cuevas from Miami.   Maybe find someone in Germany or

Spain? This also would means cancelling Guagua from the Japan tour also and changing

another musician...I start to think if Yomo is well enough for the japan trip...I must call him and

see how HE's doing. Here we go again...What else can go wrong?

MONDAY…6/29

    Awoke at 7am ...I called Pablo's room and got a busy signal, got dressed and went to their room

and saw a sign saying that THEY got in at 6am. What a relief that THEY were in the hotel...I did not

want to wake them so I went back to sleep. Two hours later I went down for breakfast and Fajardo

greeted me with the news that he has an emergency in his home in NY and wants to return

immediatly...Now here is another problem...

We sold this next show with him as a headliner...So here we go again. Today Edgar and I will meet

with Ettore to go over all future plans and get Pedro on the phone. Went to the drug store to fill 2

scripts for Guagua. Seems he has a slipped disc for the past 5 years and has been carrying his bass

and bags and it got inflamed, along with heavy constipation.

    He will continue the tour like a true trooper, thank God. Went to pick up my altered suit and

dropped off some posters at a large record store so they know what to order... Seems that

El Medico de la Salsa was here last year in the same hotel and ripped off everything they could

carry including light bulbs, mirrors off the walls and towels and sheets and pillow cases etc etc

etc so says the management...

    Have meeting with promoters at 7;30 to discuss this weeks plans.... Spoke to Wendy and told

her of the beautiful clothes I purchased for her...She read me e-mail from Japan confirming change

to Reynaldo from Willie Alvarez ...also added Chembo's daughter to the flight plans to Japan.   No
