In The Time Of The Butterflies

Showtime and MGM announce the start of principal photography on "In The Time Of The Butterflies." This picture, a Canadian - Mexican - United States co-production of the story of the Mirabal sisters who were instrumental in bringing down the Trujillo regime, is being filmed in Mexico City, Mexico, and stars Salma Hayek (Time Code, Wild, Wild West), academy Award® nominee Edward James Olmos (Stand and Deliver), Mia Maestro (Tango and Time Code), Demian Bichir, Pilar Padilla (Bread and Roses), Ana Martin, Pedro Armendariz, with Lumi Cavazos (Like Water for Chocolate) and Marc Anthony (Bringing Out The Dead, Big Night and Hackers). The film is slated to air on Showtime in 2001. Stay tuned for air date.

Bringing Out the Dead
