Rabeea Story...
Dear Edie,
Hi from Jordan, thank you for your reply asking me to be
your World correspondant for Jordan, Middleast. I accept your request and will do it to
the best of my ability. I read your amazing story. I am originaly a Palestinian, my
parents sent me to England to study and then to Egypt. I graduated from the Law School and
then studied business in the UK. I have been living in the UK for the past 15 years .
Four years ago I went to a Latin Club in Manchester called La Tasca, I heard the Salsa
Music and saw people dancing, I just fallen in love with the music and dance. Next morning
I started searching for Salsa teaching dance School. Since then I have taken classes with
top instructors in the U.K. Last March 1998 I made my dream trip to the LAND OF SALSA,
CUBA, flying 15 hours via Canada.
I took intensive dance courses at the School of Arts in Havana and also private classes
with top Salsa Teachers in Havana.
I loved their style.
Now I became a complete Salsa Freak and can not live without it, I am now selling my
business in England and returning for good home to Jordan where I introduced Salsa Four
months ago, I have been teaching in Jordan and Egypt.
I am now opening the FIRST Salsa School in Amman, Jordan called" La Finca Dance
Studio", the first in the Middleast, hopefully will be followed by a Salsa Cafe and
later a Club.
They don't have Salsa Clubs here yet, I organize Salsa nights in Clubs and take my CD's.
The people responded positively to Salsa, I will be introducing Salsa to Lebanon, Syria,
Dubai soon. I am allways looking for Advanced Salsa teaching Videos, so please send me
your "COOL MOVES" Salsa Video to my address in the UK.
Please keep me informed on any new Salsa Advanced Videos, Meringue, La Rueda Salsa Dancing
and the latest Salsa Music Hits, it is impossible to get Salsa Music here. I would not
mind importing Salsa Music and distributing it here in the Middleast. Also interested in
distributing Salsa dancing Shoes.
I also teach Cha Cha Cha, Lambada and Meringue.
