Rhiannon's Story...

I've always loved dancing. When I started studying Spanish at the UofM, I became more interested in the cultures of the Spanish speaking countries. Part of a country's culture consists of their music so Istarted listening to all kinds of Latin music and absolutely fell in love with it - and as I'm sure you know, one can not sit still to Latin music. So I started practicing in my room where no one could laugh at me except myself.

Finally when Cinco de Mayo came around, I got one of my girlfriends to go with me and we went out dancing. at this club. We must have been the only "gringos" there and everyone was looking at us. One of the young men came over and asked me to
dance, he told me that the people were talking about us and that they were surprised that a couple of white girls could Latin dance so well. With my confidence bolstered I started going out more and more and now I'm permanantly hooked !
