Ron's Story...

I met an old flame 2 years ago after not seeing her for almost 20 years. We became involved again & she, being a professional dancer, had recently gotten into Salsa. I easily realized that if we were going to be together, I would have to learn to Salsa, or sit on the sidelines - NOT ME!

I started taking lessons - the lessons at the clubs before the dancing starts. After a few months I was frustrated at my slow progress & by chance, I met Thomas Montero, a Cuban, who had recently moved to LA from Miami. He was starting
classes on Casino Rueda - the Salsa cirlce dance (like square dancing, where someone calls out different moves).

I started his classes & we joined the first Casino Rueda group in LA. Within a few months we starting performing at festivals and events. Sometimes at clubs when there are a few old Rueda members present, we do a spontaneous Rueda.
